Love Is...
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant. 1 Corinthians 13:4
On Valentine’s Day, Becca and another missionary hosted a Ladies’ night, celebrating the love Christ has for us and we have for each other. We enjoyed mookata (grilled meat) together, decorated heart-shaped cookies to serve at church the next day and built mini Lego flowers. This event was a kick off to a women's Bible study. Please pray for the group and leaders as we begin working through the book of Romans at the end of this month.
This past Sunday we celebrated the baptism of Nam, a teenager at Cool Shade of Life Church. Becca has taught her in Sunday School the last few years, most recently working through the book Gospel Centered Life. We rejoice that Nam has taken this step in her Christian walk with the Lord! Please continue to pray for Nam as she grows deeper in her faith and understanding of the Gospel.
As we seek to humbly serve our brothers and sisters at Cool Shade of Life Church, we are reminded of this diagram below from Gospel-Centered Life. It speaks towards the inward movement of our hearts then becoming outward movements of love for God and others, all through God's grace and His immense love for us.

Praise and Prayer
- Pray for Nam and the other teens to grow in deeper knowledge and love with Jesus.
- Pray for Becca and others leading the women through Romans.
- Pray for upcoming travel safety. Becca will be attending a child safety training in Malaysia in March. In early May, Ben will travel to the USA for a short visit for Elie's graduation and some church visits. Becca and Lizzy will attend our company's conference in Spain in late May.
Summer Plans:
In a previous newsletter, we shared our oldest daughter, Elie, is engaged and we are looking forward to spending some time in Wisconsin for her wedding this summer. We hope to be there from mid-June through July 24th, but we have not yet bought tickets. Praise the Lord that we already have housing as Zion Evangelical Covenant Church is allowing us to live in their Mission House. At this time we have two specific needs if you could please pray for and consider:
- We need a vehicle to borrow, ideally a minivan or vehicle that could hold six people.
- Pray for Elie and her fiance, Musa. They have much transition coming in the next months as they finish college, say goodbye to friends, move, new jobs, and marriage. Pray the wedding planning is enjoyable as we look forward to this wonderful celebration on July 17th!
